Who?

I’m a minister currently serving a progressive religious congregation in the South.  I’m passionate about religion, sacred texts, ritual, nature, running, and anything nerdy — especially TTRPGs, MMORPGs, SciFi, and Fantasy. I also enjoy spending time with my husband. We love dogs and have been lucky to have a wonderful now-departed Rottweiler and, recently, a feisty Pitsky.

WHAT?

This site is primarily a personal blog focusing on sacred texts, ministry, and the dharma. I am a practicing Zen Buddhist in a lineage that loves to focus on koans. So you’ll get some koans here. I also love books and writings deemed holy by religious groups. They prompt me to ask questions of myself, the communities these scriptures represent, and what they are telling us today.

And occasionally I’ll write about ritual, RPGs, and other things.

WHAT ELSE?

These words are my own and, unless otherwise noted, reflect my personal opinions. Permission is freely given to use my words from this website, just let me know.  Should you find a reference/source that is not credited, I will happily correct that. No money is earned from this blog whatsoever.

In practice, I do not read the comments section on any website — and I won’t start here. But if you really need to tell me something, here you go: dharmaoccurs [at] icloud [dot] com
